Iran asked to join international talks on Afghanistan

The United States has decided it will not block Iran from entering into talks to resolve the Afghanistan war.
US State department spokesman, PJ Crowley, has said says the United States does not have a problem with Iran attending talks in Rome to determine how the transfer of security responsibility in Afghanistan should be handled.
Crowley said Iran was welcome to enter into the decisions on the the transfer of power from US and international forces to Afghan troops.
He said the US had worked directly and cooperatively with Iran previously, notwithstanding concerns about Iran’s support for terrorists and its nuclear program.
